A timeline of country-by-country responses to the COVID-19 outbreak.

Explore

The COVID-19 pandemic has forced policymakers at all levels of administration to take decisions under dynamic circumstances and with high uncertainty. The general public, on the other hand, is flooded with an immense amount of information.

PoliMap provides a simple visualization tool to compare countries and policy responses across four core domains:

  1. Interventions to reduce viral transmission (“flatten the curve” strategies)
  2. Interventions to increase the health systems’ capacity (“raise the line” strategies)
  3. Interventions to mitigate the negative consequences of the pandemic and the interventions (mitigation strategies)
  4. Governance interventions to delegate power, resources, information sharing and accountability (governance strategies)

Who we are:

We are a group of more than 50 public health and social scientists and practitioners who want to help policymakers and citizens to understand the policy responses to COVID-19.
